Cartoon mocks a serious issue
Sunday’s political cartoon showing a donkey holding two signs “Fire Comey” and “We meant before” is scurrilous and misleading. First of all, there was never a Democratic Party call for firing the FBI Director, even after his last minute reopening of the Clinton email brouhaha.
Second, no one in their right mind believes that Comey’s firing has any cause other than the impulsive reaction of a president acting to cover up whatever involvement he or his supporters had with the Russians.
Misleading your readers trivializes what is shaping up as a constitutional crisis. Shame on the WHT editorial board for publishing such trash.
